    Professionals who are interested in both the business and technique of executive function coaching as a part-time or full-time career.
  • What is it, exactly?
    Six, 60 - 120 minute classes, led by executive function coach, Sean McCormick, the founder of Executive Function Specialists, which results in a certificate of completion. You can take the classes self-paced, or join the live virtual sessions. The next live cohort starts September 30. Click here for a full list of dates.
  • What do I get with this course?

    No, we ask that each user has their own account or copy. Contact us for discounts when purchasing multiple copies for organizations.
  • Where are the classes?
    The classes are recorded. Throughout the year, I do lead live classes and you can find the dates on this page. Please note, if you enroll in the 90-day program, you will only be able to access the live classes if they fall within your 90 days of access, unless you purchase a full-year of access (option available after checkout) After enrolling, you will receive access to the official course overview, which has all the meeting links, slide decks, and course resources.
  • Do I get a profile listed on the directory upon completion?
    Yes! All enrollees who complete the certification can create a directory listing on this page.
  • Why is the price increasing October 1st?
    The Executive Function Coaching Academy is adding new guarantees, support, and community features to make the program even more transformational.   • Are There Payment Plans Available?
    Yes, we offer payment plans through Affirm, AfterPay, and Klarna at checkout.
  • Is this program tax-deductible?
    Yes! You can download your receipts from this program and use them as a write-off for business expenses. Check out this video to see how to access your membership and program receipts.
  • What if I want more the 90 days of access to the membership?
    Learn more about our year-long program on this page. You will also be provided with an option to extend your membership at the end of the certification course.
  • Can the cost of the certification program be applied to the membership?
    No, the year-long membership is a separate cost. To save money, you can opt to enroll in the year-long membership with coaching if you plan on wanting to stay for at least a year AND receive one to one coaching.   • Can I pay the difference for another offer before the end of the 90 days in the course?
    No, you need to purchase the option upfront. We not offer a "pay the difference" option.
  • Is completing the certification course a prerequisite for prospective members?
    No.
  • Is This Course Designed for Launching My Own Practice?
    Absolutely, this course prepares you for a full- or part-time career in EF coaching, independent of any organization.
  • How long do I have access to course materials?
    You will be provided with a comprehensive course workbook that you can save forever, which includes all the slide decks for each meeting. You will have access to the course videos and professional development video for the duration of your membership. You must complete all course requirements (watch videos, complete quizzes) to earn your certificate. You can extend your access to all course materials and more by purchasing a membership.   • Can I earn college credit for the certification course?
    We have had a few people inquire and they have used the course syllabus and worked with an online program to receive credits. I am sharing the following information that one person was able to successfully get credit. You can open the course syllabus by clicking on this link. The person shared that they went through https://www.teachingchannel.com/ and said they have a course called Learning by Choice that will work for college credit.
  • Do you have a course that is JUST focused on coaching? Not sure if this is right for my special education teachers...
    Check out the Semester Success Blueprint course. This is a shorter course designed to be completed by educators and students TOGETHER.
  • I saw a discount code -- can you retroactively apply it?
    No, discount codes must be applied during checkout.
  • Is the Course Solely Aimed at Coaching Children?
    The program is mainly focused on coaching middle school, high school, and college students. If you are interested in working with adults or children below middle school, you will need to decide if you are comfortable generalizing the concepts to those populations.
  • I am an experienced (SLP, OT, PSY, etc) -- is this course right for me?
    Please review the lesson modules, look at the testimonials, and make that decision. If you have further questions, send an email to support@efcoachingacademy.com
  • Is International Participation Allowed?
    Yes, we've had participants join online from various countries around the world taking the course self-paced or joining for live zoom sessions during cohorts. Use a time zone tool to find your local time.
  • Is this course accredited through the ICF or any other designating body?
    No.
  • What is the refund policy?
    If you go through the first 2 modules and are not satisfied, we will give you a full refund. Do not proceed to the 3rd module and send an email to support@efcoachingacademy.com to initiate the refund process. Other than this exception, no refunds are offered.
  • My organization/school is exempt from paying taxes. What can I do?
    You are responsible for claiming this exemption AFTER you purchase the course. Email your receipt to: taxes@thinkific.com and ask for instructions on how to claim exemption.
  • Are the Skool community, Semester Success Blueprint course, the Framework, and the Transition Toolkit all included in the certification course?
    Both the 90 days in the community and the Semester Success Blueprint are included as part of the certification course. However, the DIY framework and the Toolkit for Special Educators are separate resources and not included in the program. I've also recently added a 90-day program that guarantees your first paying client which you can learn more about by checking out this video.
  • Who is the course certified by?
    I personally back the certification and stand by the results it offers. There are no big corporations or external associations involved. That means that in addition to my guarantees, you can also email me directly to resolve any issues you have throughout the program and beyond.
  • Can the course be completed at any time once purchased?
    Once you purchase, you get 90 days access to the course and Skool community. If you need more than 90 days, you can extend to a one-year membership.
  • Am I good fit for this course if I work with younger clients?
    While the course is a great fit for working with middle and high school students, it does not focus on strategies for clients younger than 6th grade. The main reason for this is that younger students often face challenges engaging in online sessions, which can make it difficult to scale your practice beyond in-person work.
  • How are the modules delivered for foreign attendees?
    The entire program is delivered online and can be taken self-paced by watching the class recordings.
  • Are the dates and times for the live cohort sessions fixed or will it change?
    The times and dates for the upcoming live classes are pre-set and will remain fixed, but we also offer live Q&A sessions that you can join. Click here to view all of the upcoming live Q&A dates.
  • If I enroll before October 1, do I still get the Right-Fit guarantee and the Paid-Client Guarantee?
    Yes. If you sign up before the price increase, you’ll still be covered by both the Right-Fit and Paid-Client Guarantee. Right-Fit Guarantee — go through the first two modules, and if you’re not satisfied or don’t feel EFCA is the right fit, I’ll refund you in full. Paid-Client Guarantee — follow our 90-Day Daily Step Plan, and if you don’t get your first paid client within 90 days, you’ll stay in the community for free until you do (as long as you’re following the process).
  • If I want my team of coaches to take this course, can we purchase before the price change and have them start later?
    Yes. Teams can lock in seats at the current price and use them when they’re ready. We also offer group discounts: 5% off for 5–9 seats 10% off for 10–19 seats
  • Do you offer anything extra for teams?
    Yes. Any team that purchases 5 or more seats will also receive a private 50-minute Q&A session with me that can be used at any point after purchase.
  • Can I enroll before the price increases on October 1 and start at a later date?
    Yes, you can secure your enrollment now and delay starting until a time that works better for you, as long as you begin within a year of purchase. Once you're enroll, we will pause your membership and then activate it for a 90-day period whenever you're ready to dive in.
